TMA's Hard Hats For Little Heads Program

Did you know that a properly fitting helmet can prevent up to 85 percent of head injuries during bicycling or skating? Plus such injuries are the most common cause of disability or death in a bike crash.

With the increase in bicycling due to school and summer activity cancellations, it’s more important than ever that children in our community who need a helmet have one so they are protected in the event of an accident while riding.

Texas Medical Association’s Hard Hats for Little Heads program provides helmets and head injury prevention education to children ages 3 to 14, and we invite you to join us with a gift or by signing up to join our fundraising team (it’s easy and will save lives!).

About TMA Foundation. Hard Hats for Little Heads is funded by the Texas Medical Association Foundation, the philanthropic arm of TMA.  Donations to TMAF are tax deductible to the full extent permitted by law.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, TMAF’s mission is to "fund initiatives with the power to help physicians create a healthier future for all Texans."  More information is available at www.tmaf.org.
