Doctors Day 2012

TMA Foundation Makes it Easy to Celebrate National Doctors Day!

Physicians face a host of challenges in today’s medical environment. You can honor the commitment they show each day to their patients by making a gift in their honor on National Doctors Day, March 30.

Started in 1933 by Eudora Brown Almond of Winder, Georgia, National Doctor's Day was created to show appreciation to physicians. In 1991, President George HW Bush signed a resolution establishing National Doctors Day to be celebrated on March 30 to mark the anniversary of the first use of general anesthesia in surgery.

TMAF is the philanthropic arm of the Texas Medical Association and funds the many high-quality TMA health improvement initiatives that are helping Texans of all ages make healthy choices where they live, work, and play.

Make a tax-deductible donation today and TMAF will send a special Doctors Day card to the physician you wish to honor.
