TMA's Smoking Tobacco Cessation Program
Nearly 27,000 preventable deaths occur in Texas every year due to smoking and tobacco use. To help Texans fight their addiction to tobacco, the physicians of Texas Medical Association (TMA) have developed the TMA Smoking Tobacco Cessation Program. A part of TMA’s Physician Oncology Education Program (POEP), this program aims to reduce the number of people who start smoking and increase the number of people who choose to quit smoking, through increased counseling and education from their physicians.
TMA’s POEP program needs $9,300 to put these resources into physician offices—won’t you help us make these resources available to Texans across the state with your contribution today?
